Founded in 2023, the Responsible Technology Alliance is a group of technologists, academics, policymakers and legal experts. We are dedicated to promoting sensible AI legislation and policy actions that support AI’s social and economic benefits while guarding against its harms.

Who we are
RTA is a public interest advocacy organization. We offer resources for policymakers to better understand AI technology, serving as a thought partner for the impact of policy proposals. Similarly, we offer insight about the AI policy landscape to technology practitioners, researchers, and members of the public.
Although we have deep technology expertise, we do not represent technology companies and do not accept corporate donations. We aim to provide a balanced perspective on AI policy without conflicts of interest in the marketplace.
